Nomirun SDK release notes

November 1st, 2026 - Version 1.2.3

  • A message the RabbitMQ consumers can’t process is logged and rejected (to the queue’s dead-letter exchange, if set) instead of stopping the subscription after 30 minutes.
  • AddAmqpRequester sets ReplyTo to the reply queue, and StringHelper.ExtractTextBetween no longer depends on the culture.

Actions:

  1. Update the Nomirun.Sdk package reference of your modules to 1.2.3. A rejected message is not redelivered: retry transient failures inside ConsumeMessage.

October 26th, 2026 - Version 1.2.2

  • A module’s journal starts even when an assembly in the host has types that can’t all be loaded.

Actions:

  1. Update the Nomirun.Sdk reference of your modules to 1.2.2.

October 26th, 2026 - Version 1.2.1

  • WithBasicAuthentication encodes credentials as UTF-8 instead of sending non-ASCII characters as ?.
  • WithPathReplacementValues escapes each value so /, ? and # stay in their path segment, and refuses . and .. segments.
  • A journal collection whose PostgreSQL tables would collide (names are cut to 63 bytes) stops the host at start.

Actions:

  1. Update the Nomirun.Sdk reference of your modules to 1.2.1.
  2. Put path parts that deliberately contained / in the path template instead of the value.

October 20th, 2026 - Version 1.2.0

  • Message flow tracking: a flow id travels with Pub/Sub, Request/Reply, Claim Check and Pipes & Filters messages, HTTP calls by service name and journal retries; [FlowId] on a contract property names it.
  • [AddMilestone] records business steps, [TraceTag] puts a value on the span and [NotTraced] keeps a value out of spans and logs; NomirunFlow comes with Nomirun.Sdk.Abstractions 1.1.0.
  • New spans for journal retries (journal.retry, linked to the failed call), pipeline stages and claim-check storage.
  • [AddOpenTelemetryTracing] exports arguments only with CaptureArguments = true, as a JSON object by parameter name; Name sets the span name.
  • Fixed one attributed method tracing or logging the whole service, and journal retries that could ignore MaxAttempts.
  • Pipes & Filters no longer pass custom Request-Id or Correlation-Context headers between stages.

Actions:

  1. Update Nomirun.Sdk to 1.2.0 and Nomirun.Sdk.Abstractions to 1.1.0 in your modules and their tests projects, and run them on Nomirun Host 1.10.0 or later.
  2. Trace queries that read input.arguments as an array must read the object by parameter name.

October 19th, 2026 - Version 1.1.2

  • Fixed StringHelper.Truncate throwing for a maxLength below 3; it now returns the first maxLength characters without an ellipsis, or an empty string for 0 or less.

Actions:

  1. Optional: update Nomirun.Sdk in your modules and their tests projects to 1.1.2. Nomirun.Sdk.Abstractions stays at 1.0.41.

October 16th, 2026 - Version 1.1.1

  • Security updates: the SDK depends on System.Security.Cryptography.Pkcs 8.0.2, 9.0.21 or 10.0.13 per target framework and on System.Text.Json 10.0.13; its API is unchanged.

Actions:

  1. Optional: update Nomirun.Sdk in your modules and their tests projects to 1.1.1. Nomirun.Sdk.Abstractions stays at 1.0.41.

October 13th, 2026 - Version 1.1.0

  • StringEncryption (EncryptStringAes / DecryptStringAes) is obsolete with warning NOMISDK0001: it is AES-CBC without a MAC. Use AesGcm or Inferno EtM_CBC, which ships with the SDK.
  • Nothing else changed; modules built on 1.0.151 run unchanged.

Actions:

  1. Optional: update Nomirun.Sdk in your modules and their tests projects to 1.1.0. Nomirun.Sdk.Abstractions stays at 1.0.41.
  2. Builds with warnings as errors fail where StringEncryption is used: move to an authenticated cipher, or add <NoWarn>NOMISDK0001</NoWarn> until you do.

October 7th, 2026 - Version 1.0.151

  • Dependency updates: gRPC 2.84, Azure Storage Blobs 12.30, StackExchange.Redis 3.3, Microsoft.Data.SqlClient 7.1 and Scriban 7.5; the SDK’s API is unchanged.

Actions:

  1. When you update Nomirun.Sdk to 1.0.151, raise Grpc.Tools to 2.84.0 and Google.Protobuf to 3.36.2 in your module csproj; otherwise restore fails with NU1605.

October 6th, 2026 - Version 1.0.150

  • [AddLogging] formats arguments and return values only when Debug logging is enabled; errors are logged as before.
  • [AddOpenTelemetryTracing] reuses its serializer settings for the input.arguments tag; span names, tags and status are unchanged.

Actions:

  1. Optional: update Nomirun.Sdk in your modules and their tests projects to 1.0.150. Nomirun.Sdk.Abstractions stays at 1.0.41.

October 6th, 2026 - Version 1.0.149

  • Fixed ToUpperCase(), AuthenticationType.From and ContentType.From giving different results on Turkish and Azeri machines; they now use invariant casing.
  • New Nomirun.Sdk.Abstractions version (1.0.41) with IModuleContext<TStartup>: inject IModuleContext<Startup> to get your module’s own name, because a plain IModuleContext resolves to the module the host loaded last.

Actions:

  1. Update Nomirun.Sdk in your modules and their tests projects to 1.0.149 and, where referenced directly, Nomirun.Sdk.Abstractions to 1.0.41.

  • Fixed unit tests of a module crashing with System.AccessViolationException on Linux build agents, seen on Azure DevOps hosted agents when the first test created a controller.
